Why SA Body
Analysis & Nutrition

We exist because most people don’t need more information about health,  they need better information, delivered by someone who understands what actually going on in a holistic way.

SA Body Analysis & Nutrition combines medical grade body composition technology with evidence-based nutrition and real-world coaching. We work with individuals, gyms, and employers across Adelaide to turn data into action and action into lasting change.

Built From lived Experience

SA Body Analysis & Nutrition has been part of Adelaide for a number of years now. I acquired Saba in 2025, not to build something from scratch, but because this work genuinely matters to me.

Meet Jules.

Chef, nutritionist, ex-viticulturist, powerlifter, and now proud owner of SA Body Analysis & Nutrition since 2025.

The way we run SABA comes directly from how I’ve spent most of my adult life, working with food, with bodies, and with people trying to make real changes that hold up in the long term.

I grew up playing sport, softball, football, cricket, netball, athletics, and taekwondo. Movement was always part of life.

In high school I was told my weight was a problem, put on a fad diet, collapsed from fatigue, and then regained all the weight I had lost.

That was my first lesson in how badly this industry can get it wrong, and why finding a qualified nutritionist in Adelaide you can truly rely on for sustainable advice, is so essential.

An injury ended team sports and sent me into the gym for rehab. That’s where I found powerlifting, and why strength training has been a constant for me ever since.

Real Life Experience. Real results.

From sport injuries to professional kitchens, nearly two decades of lived experience shaped an approach that actually works.

I didn’t initially come to nutrition through a textbook. My path came through real life experience, a commitment to self development and continuous learning, and nearly two decades as a qualified chef. Add to that years of fuelling my own training and performance, and you get a genuine obsession with understanding how food affects the way people feel and function.

Life in professional kitchens
I cooked across Australia, New Zealand and France, family meals to fine dining, and for elite teams including the All Blacks, the Australian Cricket Team and winter Olympians.

It taught me that food isn’t just fuel. It’s cultural, emotional, and deeply individual.

But cheffing burns you out. Night shifts, stress, and a culture where alcohol is woven in. By my late 40s I was eating and drinking too much, hiding under baggy clothes, and telling myself 20,000 steps a day meant I was healthy.

The wake-up call
A routine blood test changed everything. My GP called with results that scared me, I was physically strong but carrying too much fat, and in the worst shape of my life.

That call sent me down a path of books, formal study, and hiring a wellness coach, because trying to do it alone wasn’t working. Over four years I lost 25kg, returned to powerlifting, and became healthier and more energised than ever.

There was no going back.

Acquired SABA

Since taking over SA Body Analysis and Nutrition in 2025, we have helped many people understand their body composition and make real, lasting changes to the way they eat and live.

We work with people on the whole picture, not just the food. That means addressing mindset, breaking through the barriers that have kept them stuck, and building habits that actually support performance and lasting change. Our practical framework forms the core of the nutritionist services we provide in Adelaide.

Most people are overwhelmed by too many choices, too much conflicting information, and meal plans and food that does not actually taste good.

With a Certificate IV in Nutrition, specialist training in body composition analysis and Mental Health First Aid, and nearly two decades in professional kitchens, I work in exactly that gap as an experienced nutritionist in Adelaide clients can lean on.

We focus on nutrition that is sustainable in real life, meals that are genuinely tasty and nourishing, and body composition changes that move you in the right direction for long term health.

We are not here to hand you an energy and macro target and wish you luck.
We are here to help you understand your body, trust your food choices, and build something that holds up in real life.

Philosophy

Here at SABA my philosophy is simple, lead with evidence-based nutrition, backed by InBody data and real-world coaching.
No elimination diets. No influencer advice.
No perfection, just progress.

Because health isn't about control. It's about tailored, individual holistic care that sets you up for success long term.

Has something stopped working with your health and lifestyle goals?
Want real data and a real plan to make progress, we’re here for you.

Clinical-Grade Technology

We use InBody’s 580 professional-grade body composition scanning systems, the same technology used in hospitals, universities, and elite sporting programs worldwide. Our equipment represents a significant investment in accuracy and reliability, because the quality of your data determines the quality of your plan.

Every scan measures muscle mass, body fat percentage, visceral fat, basal metabolic rate, segmental balance, and water composition.

The result is a complete, medical grade picture of what’s happening inside your body not an estimate, not a guess, and not a number on a bathroom scale.

FAQ

What qualifications does the SABA team have?

Our team is led by a nationally recognised nutritionist in Adelaide, certified InBody analyst, qualified chef with international experience including professional sports teams, and a health and wellness coach who balances lifestyle habits.

We use evidence-based methods grounded in current research. Every plan starts with clinical-grade body composition data and is tailored to the individual. No fad diets, no elimination programs, and no generic templates.

Dietitians primarily work in medical settings like hospitals to treat specific clinical illnesses. As a qualified nutritionist Adelaide clinic, we focus on lifestyle nutrition, body composition goals, sustainable fat loss and building healthy, long-term habits. We look at the whole picture, your mindset, your daily routine and your relationship with food, using practical, everyday meals that taste great.

Look for formal qualifications and real-world experience, not just social media trends. A great coach shouldn't give you a generic, restrictive meal plan. Our nutrition coaching Adelaide programs are unique because they combine clinical body data with practical kitchen skills. Led by a qualified chef, we teach you how to make nourishing, delicious food fit easily into a busy work and training schedule.

Absolutely. When your weight stops moving, it’s usually because your metabolism has adapted to your current routine. As an experienced nutritionist Adelaide specialist, we don't just tell you to "eat less." We use precise InBody scans to see exactly how much muscle and fat you have, calculate your actual baseline metabolism, and adjust your food so you can break through plateaus safely without starving.
